Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24040, , BQ24072
Hello, sorry for quite beginner questions, but could you please help me out with these?
I am thinking about wireless receiver + Li-Pol charger for my project. I will have small two-wired 270mAh Li-Pol battery without NTC and I need to be able to charge while also powering my device.
I have already been searching quite long for something and found the BQ51013B Qi receiver and the BQ24040 charger. Are these ok for my needs? I have never dealt with charging circuits before so I rather came to ask.
Also I am slightly confused by your terminology in the BQ24040 datasheet - there is written about "fast charging" - is it just the TI's terminology for normal charging? I have always thought about "fast charging" as of for example Qualcomm's quick charge so.. But I believe your "fast charging" is like normal charging for me, right?
But to my very main questions:
- I should limit charger's output current to battery, right?
- Can I just pull the BQ24040's ISET2 to High without worrying about anything?
- Should I take care of anything else I didn't mention here?
Thank you in advance!
It's really just my hobby project for learning something new so if something fails, it will not cause anything to anyone.
