UCC21521: Versions "ADW", "CDW", "DW"

Part Number: UCC21521

Hi,

I have a number of these and all differing versions purchased from TI suppliers here in NZ , how can you tell them apart by looking at the part numbers printed on the package.

Looking at the device spec pdf, the markings on each device are not consistent with the spec sheet. None of them have specific markings like "UCC21521C" for the CDW version.

Thanks

Mike

  • Hi, Mike,

Welcome to e2e, and thanks for your interest in our products.

I'm not sure I 100% follow what you're asking, but if it's what is the difference between A, null, and C, those are different UVLO options of the device. This is shown on page 8 of the d/s:

  • Hi Mike,

Thank you for your question. I work on the applications team in the high power drivers group.
The devices should be marked in order to designate with version the specific device is as outlined in the datasheet.

If you want to send pictures of your devices, I can look to confirm which version they are.

If this answered your question, could you please press the green button? If not, feel free to ask more questions.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Thanks Zachary

Supposedly the devices I have are are a mixture of CDW and DW types, however all their part numbers have UCC21521 with no appended "C" on the device marking; seems one supplier has mismanaged their inventory and supplied me with incorrect versions, dammit.

    Cheers

    Mike
