UCC27524A1-Q1: Think to keep the restrictions in parallel operation of UCC27524A1-Q1

Part Number: UCC27524A1-Q1

Hello

My customer connects UCC27524A1-Q1 INA and INB and uses two drivers in parallel.

8.3.6 of the data sheet states that dV / dt must be greater than 20V / us.
How many ohms can the series resistor put into the input circuit to keep this regulation?
For example, we believe that if a 10k ohm series resistor is inserted, it may not be possible to comply with the regulations. (The output FET is broken.)
You can think if you know the input capacitance of INA and INB, but please let me know because it is not written in the data sheet.

Regards.

  • Hello Ken,

Thanks for your help promoting our drivers.

For paralleling the driver's channels, please ensure the following:

-Minimize filtering at driver's input as slow input signals can increase the risk of channel-to-channel delay at the driver's output.

-Max recommended values: Rin <=100-Ohms, Cin <=200-pF.

-PCB trace from filter to INx pins should be symmetrical.

-Short INA and INB as close as possible to the input pins to optimize noise filtering and minimize PCB trace inductance on INx signal

-Short driver's outputs OUTA and OUTB in symmetrical fashion through series resistors as shown below: Keep red PCB traces SHORT and WIDE!!

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Regards,
