SPROT (Fuse) Control for BQ78PL114

In the document SLUA537–December 2009 bq78PL114 System Design Guidelines.  I found that The chemical or thermal fuse option is commonly available in applications up to maximum voltage of 32 VDC and currents up to 12 A. So I want to konw whether this feature is not available when Pack Volatage exceed 32V or current exceed 12A, at the same time how about BQ78PL116 of this feature.

    The feature is still available in the '114 or '116 (for any fuse rating) but I don't think there aren't chemical fuses available for voltage/current levels that high.

    In very high power applications, the FUSE (SPROT) condition can be considered a Permanent Failure condition since controllable fuses are not really used.  Once this condition is reached, the bq78PL116 is latched just like a fuse.  THe only way to get out of the condition is to remove the fault and send a Reset Fuse Command with the bqWizard or API.
