I have modified the TPS54362B EVM board to output 3.3V. The component changes are as follows:
C9 330pF, C11 120pF, C12 270pF, R1 180k, R2 56k, R12 270k, R13 2.5k, R14 68k, R15 1.5k, R16 22k//330k.
The best efficiency I can measure is about 68% (15V in, 300mA load), the datasheet and simulations on Tina suggest it should be much higher.
The ripple on the output also exceeds that expected from the calculations.
I notice the evaluation board has been revised from a two layer to a four layer board – is the layout particularly sensitive for the TPS54362?
