Hello,

I'm designing an isolated power supply of 3kW, our load is a battery of 12V.

We want to protect the secondary side of the reverse polarity of the load. Can i use the LM74700-Q1 for this purpose. if it's so, could you please guide me to any application note tha may help?

I think, using an overload trip circuit in the path would be helpful to break the path in case of reverse battery connection at the load side. Can you share the block diagram or architecture of power supply to look into..

thank you for your quick replay,

Our topologie is :current doubler rectifier, please find attached the block diagram of the power supply.

Hv=750V

Lv=12V

Pout=3Kw

LM74700-Q1 can not help to prevent reverse polarity if the batttery (12V) is reversed.

As Rakesh pointed out, you need a over current protection switch such as LM5060-Q1 to prevent over current flow when battery is reverse connected on the output.
