Could you help clarify a point about BQ77915 cell balancing disable? My customer's system uses a stack of three of those for cell monitoring and they want to disable the BQ77915 from doing any balancing as in their system that will be handled elsewhere.
The datasheet says to float CBI to disable cell balancing but what is the recommended way to disable balancing for a stack of three 77915's? Is it better to float CBI and CBO for all three ICs in the stack, or is it preferred to keep the daisy chain of CBO to CBI intact and only float the CELL0 CBI?
If you need to keep the daisy chain intact, then what is happening between CBI and CBO for the case of cell-balance-disable?
