UCC29910A: How much THD i can achieve at max power?

Part Number: UCC29910A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28180, UCC256402

Hi, We are planning to UCC29910A Buck PFC  IC with the 400W power rating for BLDC motord drive. AC input range will be 180V to 285VAC and output is 150VDC. How much i can achieve current THD % and P.F.

Please suggest if there is any PFC ic's for output voltage less than 200V.

Regards,

Sudhakar.

Since a buck converter can only operate when the output voltage is lower than the input voltage, the AC input and DC output voltage used will effect what the PF/THD will be.  The following PSDS paper goes into detail about thishttps://www.ti.com/seclit/ml/slup264/slup264.pdf.

Typically PFC buck can achieve PF  greater than 0.9 minimum, 0.95 at nominal line.  If you need higher PF, then we recommend a PFC boost with UCC28180 followed by a LLC DC/DC with UCC256402.

    Best Regards,

    Eric
