BQ34Z100-G1: How to choose CHEM ID 2112 or 2125?

Hi,

I am preparing a new bq34z100 project fuel gauge file. My customer provided cell info: Chemistry: LI NMC Cell Manufacturer: LG18650 HG2.

But I saw there are two 18650HG2 Chemistry ID: 2112 and 2125 in bqStudio Chemistry Programming Chemistry ID listing. I checked, their Ra Table values are different, could you please let me know how I can know which one I should choose?

Please advise.

Hi Joy,

I would suggest you use the GPCCHEM (http://www.ti.com/tool/GPCCHEM) to find the most matching chemistry id.

Don't select a chemistry id based on the model name.

Hi Andy,

In my current stage, I don't have battery pack, I am preparing the startup fuel gauge file for my customer. I need to provide a most close fuel gauge file. Right now, I only have the battery spec. Please see the attached. Based on this, can we know which CHEM ID is closet?

Hello Joy,

Not currently. The best way is to run GPCCHEM. We do not suggest matching text on bqStudio chemistry plug-in.
