BQ4050: Shutdown Current in other Shutdown Modes

Hi,

I'm trying to use the BQ4050 or the BQ40z50 in product with various power modes. One of those modes will make use of the ManufacturerAccess() MAC Shutdown to remove the load from the battery.

Both chips datasheet say that the shutdown current is 0.5µA (max), but both chips have many shutdown modes. e.g. Voltage Based, Manufacturer Access, Emergency, Timed, etc.

Does the 0.5µA (max) apply to all shutdown modes?

Does the ManufacturerAccess() MAC Shutdown have lower current consumption?

This is a completely different question and has nothing to do with the other post. This one is about the ManufacturerAccess Shutdown.

Can I please have an answer to my question?

Dan,

Shutdown to the gauge is all the same. No matter how you get there Shutdown is Shutdown. if we are in a different power mode there will be a different name for it like Hibernate.

In Shutdown mode the gauge is 100% powered off and not doing any computations.
