TLV62565: No defined Tj on Recommended Operation Conditions

Hi,

 

On almost devices, there is Tj (Operating Junction temperature) on Recommended Operation Conditions. However, on the datasheet of TLV62565, we can find only Ta (Operating ambient temperature). Why does TLV62585 datasheet define only Ta? Please let me know the reason.

    Hello Hattori-san,

    The TLV62565 was characterized and validated using the Tamb, but the device electrical parameters rely on the actual Tj. If an actual application board (ex. PCB layout, the temperature of nearby components) varies from the characterization board, the device electrical performance is not ensured.

    As an improvement, the newer TLV devices such as TLV62585 used Tj (-40 deg.C to 125 deg. C) as a parameter during characterization and validation, so any variations from external parameters that influence the device temperature were already considered.
