TPS54678: response time of OCP

Hello Given,

Here, Cycle-by-cycle means that this over current condition will be checked for every cycle.

If this condition occurs more than 512 times successively than the system enters Hiccup mode.

OCP condition will depend of the current raise speed in your inductor as well as your inductor value. When the OCP is triggered a small propagation delay will be needed before high-side FET is switched off.

This propagation delay is in the ns range.

Thanks for your reply. As mentioned，the propagation is in ns range，customer still want to know a more accurate  value of the time，is it 10ns or 20ns or other value？Thanks.

This is propagation delay is part of internal circuitry, this value is not characterized during production. Current limit threshold is.

But if just testing on one part，can it represent all parts? Customer want this data to see how much current will be limited，especially in condition like Vout short. Is it possible to do simulation to get a general value or max value? Thanks.
