This is the footprint of TPS62740.

Can the EP be removed or minimized perhaps? Please refer to footprint.

Our concern is this might dissipate a lot of heat while reflowing.

we suggest to follow our documentation such as d/s and user guide. If you want to change the footprint is your responsibility but we don't recommend this.
