It seems this device doesn't have current limit for short circuit protection, right?

Do we 5.5V and >6A load switch with short circuit protection?

At the moment we do not have any load switches that will handle a >6A load current.

I would recommend taking a look at our high side switches as they are specifically made for protecting against faults like short circuits. Specifically at >6A load current the TPS1HB16-Q1 seems like it would work for you:
