Hello,

I am trying to get SOC in bqstudio,for that i have to perform a successful learning cycle to obtain a full learned gauge with accurate SOC performance.For getting correct SOC in bqstudio,proper Chem ID should be programmed in bqstudio. But i don't know how to get log file to get correct Chem ID from GPCCHEM Tool .Please give me your suggestion.

Andy Liu (BMS) Thanks for your response sir,your given information is very useful for me.But problem is that i can get discharging current and elapsed time required in log file but charging voltage can't because i don't have any device to measure charging voltage of battery.I am using 'INR18650-15M,SAMSUNG Li-ion battery'.

I assume you have a BQ40Z50-R2 EVM. The gauge device can meause current, votlage and tempertature. Bascially you can use the EVM + EV2400 + bqSutdio to collect the log file required by the GPCCHEM.

Andy Liu (BMS) Thanks for your reply sir,yes ,me device measure current,voltage and temperature successfully.For getting ChemID by using GPC tool in which first step is that charge the battery to full using taper current,so here my doubt is what is taper current and from which voltage of battery to start the charging,Can i charge the battery from random voltage at the start like 3v to 4.2v or 3.5v to 4.2v ?

The recommended taper current is C/100. Bascially, you charge your battery to the manufacturer specified voltage until the taper current reaches C1/00.

You can start charging when the battery voltage is 3V or 3.5V. It doesn't matter. The GPCCHEM tool only cares about the discharge data. Just make sure the batter is fully charged before discharge starts.
