LM5060: LM5060 enable recommendations

Part Number: LM5060

The datasheet recommends 0-65V on the enable pin of LM5060. What does the input protection for this pin look like? I'm trying to drive this with a 0-20V digital output which isn't capable of sourcing much current. What's the recommended connection for this (direct, series resistor, zener, etc)?

  • Hi Bryan,

EN pin can source a max bias current of 8 uA. Since, it is rated to 65V, the digital output can be connected directly to the EN pin. To be super safe we can consider of resistor divider (ratio 4:1) from the digital output.
