BQ24193: Which Iq should we consider for our shipping mode case?

When in shipping mode (REG07[5]=1), with a charged battery attached but VBUS disconnected (physically), which battery quiscent current should we consider?

In the datasheet I note there is the case with max 5 uA, specificed for V_VBUS < V_UVLO. Then there is the case with max 20 uA, specified with 'no VBUS'. The latter sounds more like VBUS disconnected to me, but I must have misunderstood something, because it does not make sense to me that the battery quiscent current would be higher when VBUS is disconnected than when it is connected with a low voltage (<V_UVLO).

Hi,

You should refer to the "High-Z Mode, or no VBUS, BATFET disabled (REG07[5] = 1)" spec, i.e. typical 12uA and max 20uA.

That other datasheet table entry, with max 5 uA Iq, should we understand that the reason for that being lower is that it is not the complete leakage current (but only the part leaking from BAT to VBUS specifically)?

The 5uA Iq spec is referred to VBUS pin leakage.
