Hi everybody,

How can I performing the cell balancing test for production testing ?

    Loic,

    The best way i can suggest is to connect source meters as the cell inputs, setup the conditions to trigger balancing, then monitor the current coming out of each device. 

    Cell balancing in rest is the best option since no other currents would be flowing.

    Eric,

    The best way for production tests may be a SMBus command for activate / deactivate the Cell balancing. Do you have this on BQ40z80?

    LOIC,

    While i agree that is the best way, there is no command to activate the cell balancing i this device. There is a potential for bad things to happen (cells shorting together) if these types of commands were used improperly so we did not put them into the gauge for safety reasons.
