we have 4 PCBs which use the TPS65381-Q1.

Can we change the BOM of these PCBs to TPS65381A-Q1 without compatibility problems?

What is the difference between TPS65381A-Q1 and TPS65381-Q1?

Hi Andreas,

The TPS65381A-Q1 is an exact equivalent to TPS65381-Q1.

The devices are pin to pin compatible and have the same parametrics. The register map is the same between both devices and SPI configuration and timing are the same between the devices. Also, the board layout for both devices are the same.

Finally, TPS65381-Q1 is no longer recommended for new designs. Therefore, we highly recommend you move to TPS65381A-Q1.
