BQ25713: EN_HIZ bit

Hi,

Please let me ask about EN_HIZ bit under PTM_PINSEL = 1b.

I understand that EN_HIZ bit can be used to enter bq25713 into HIZ mode. Then does EN_HIZ bit also work when PTM_PINSEL bit is set to 1b?

Hey Satoshi,

The PTM_PINSEL bit only impacts the function of the external ILIM_HIZ pin when it is pulled low.

Hi Joel,

Actually I confirmed that EN_HIZ bit could not work when PTM_PINSELL bit is set to 1b. Please refer following Fig.2 and Fig.4. Can you also try this on your bench?

Did you follow the steps described in section 9.4.3 Pass Through Mode (PTM) of the datasheet?

Hi Joel,

Thank you for your comment. I understand that the EN_HIZ bit is ignored after PTM_PINSEL is set to prevent bq25713 to enter Hi-Z mode accidentally during PTM mode.
