TPS63001: Which application circuit is better ?

Hi,

I'm designing the power management circuit to drive an MCU (nRF52832) and analog front-end (ADS1299) using TPS63001. I'm a novice in designing power circuit and I have a simple question about its design:

The typical application circuit in the datasheet is:

But in some others' design, they do not use R3, C3 and just use one 10 uF capacitor for C2:

My circuit has limitation on size, so I hope to use the second design.

Could someone please tell me whether I can use the second one? I'm wondering whether it would have some bad effects.

Would you mind changing your user name?

We recommend using the RC filter at analog VIN to keep it more quiet. If you are not using it, there will most probable be more ripple and noise on the output.

But if you have size constraints, have a look at TPS63050.

I did change my name when I signed up. However, I signed up at Ti.com.cn, and when I logged in Ti.com, the name was automatically changed to this user6193453. And I could not change it to another name.

Thank you for the attempt to change the name. I am sorry that our system is not synchronizing the names between the Chinese and English versions. I will discuss with the responsible team to check if we can update it.

It seems that the name change did not work in either of the E2E versions (Chinese or English). If you want to change your name to a more reasonable one, please follow the description in this thread:
