UC1834-SP: UC1834 operation for ( 36V < Vin < 40V)

Hi

Vin max is given as 36V at UC1834 webpage,  whereas Absolute maximum as 40V in datasheet. 

It is clear  that there is no guarantee for functioning of IC above 40V, but what will be the case if operated above 36V (<40V).
