WEBENCH® Tools/UCC28634: Issues in 48V system

Part Number: UCC28634

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi

We are using the UCC28634d AC-DC Input:85V-265, Output:48V,1A.

Please find the attached files.

Please send us the Transformer Winding Orientation for all  the Transformer_328uH AC-DC.docx3 windings.

Thanks & Regards

  • Hello,

I look at the documentation you sent from the Webench tool.   They gave you a schematic of the transformer, AWG, turns, core material, peak and RMS current of the windings.  They also including winding direction of the windings.  From this information it should be possible to go select the transformer core and bobbin and wind your own transformer.

The other option you have is to send the information to magnetic company like Wurth, Renco or GCI to manufacture the transformer for you.

    Regards,

  • Hello,

Webench Transformer Report.docxThere is difference between the Transformer diagram in Schematic to the diagram in Transformer Report.

    Please confirm.

  • Hello,

This is a flyback converter.  Webench has given you the polarities on the data sheet of the transformer.

You just need to hook them up in the schematic with the correct polarities.

The aux winding and secondary windings should be in the opposite direction of the primary.

I looked at the diagram of the transformer and you can put in the schematic without crossing wires.  All the dots will just change sides and this should still work.

I would also suggest testing the polarities of the transformer after it is built to make sure they are in the correct direction.

    Regards,
