BQ40Z60EVM-578: Data Flash wear out (DFW) is set (1). How to make the DFW bit reset.

While performing learning cycle the Data flash wear out (DFW) bit within the PF status register is set. While performing the PF clear

operation the DFW bit is not getting reset. Correspondingly XCHG and XDSG =1. I'm not able to perform neither charging nor discharging.

How to resolve this problem, what might be the reason for the data flash wear out to be set.

Tried firmware setup again and it solved the issue. The data flash wear out register is reset.

Again the same problem has occurred. DFW bit is set. I'm not able to again reprogram the firmware. Can you please let me know why did it entered the DFW mode.

The gauge will set this bit if a flash write/verify was not successful. I recommend setting "Valid Update Voltage" to a higher number than 3500mV to check if this fixes it. If you continue to get these errors then either the voltage dropped out during a flash write (e.g. spurious glitch) or the flash is indeed worn out.
