TPS650864: Register to shout down all the output of TPS650864

Part Number: TPS650864

Hi expert,

Is there a register to disable all the outputs of TPS650864 at the same time? We want to use the processor to disable TPS650864. If not, we have to do this one by one. But processor sending the disable command is powered by TPS650864. Once one power rail is off, the process will shut down and can't send the subsequent command to shut down the rest rails.

Regards,

Yangbo

  • Hi Yangbo,

Generally we recommend setting the appropriate CTL pin low, however FORCESHUTDN.SDWN bit can initiate an emergency shutdown.

Please note that if the CTL pins are still high, the rails assigned to them will begin powering up according to the sequence once the OTP memory has been reloaded into the active registers. If you want the power down to be permanent, you could consider some small discrete logic, like a D flip flop for example, to achieve desired behavior.
