LM5164: LM5164 Vin lower than Vout

Hi Colleagues, 

my customer whats to design in the LM5164 and therefore he has following questions:

Whats happen if Vout is set to 15 V und Vin is lower than 15 V down to 6 V. (UVLO is not used)

    Florian,

    The LM5164 will continue to operate down to 6V. The output will fall with the input. When VIN approaches VOUT, the duty cycle of the SW node increases. The LM5164 supports up to 99% duty cycle so the output will be approximately (VIN*0.99 - IOUT*RDSON_HS - IOUT*DCR of inductor) where RDSON of the LM5164's high-side FET is 0.725mOhm typical.
