BQ27510-G3: BQ27510-G3 to disable charging on BQ25895

I just wanted to confirm if this would work or not.

It appears the GPOUT pin is configured by default to be able to disable charging to a charging chip. So does that mean I could just connect it with a pull-up to the nCE pin on the BQ25895 and it will disable charging automatically when it is outside the range of Chg Inhibit Temp Low and Chg Inhibit Temp High ? I would probably just pull this pin up to REG25 pin through a 10k-100k resistor. Then I can just get rid of the thermistor on the BQ25895 and place a 10K resistor in its place?

Yes. You need to make sure you are configured correctly since that pin does have many uses. But disabling the charging when out of temp range is an acceptable one.

It appears the default is Temperature Based Charge inhibit from looking at the PFC_CFG[1:0] bits. Can I open a golden image file on Battery management studio and see what it was set to when the image was made?

Andrew,

It is hard to just see it inside a golden file. You can program that golden file on an EVM or your system and then read the data memory.
