BQ25710: Vsys not properly regulated for 2S configuration.

Part Number: BQ25710

Hi,

I am using the BQ25710 for a 2S battery powered application. VBUS comes from a Type-C power delivery adaptor, so that is why I chose the BQ25710, cause the input voltage can range from 5VDC to 20VDC.

I am testing the design in my custom board and I am having an issue with the regulated Vsys. The scenario is as follows:

- No battery plugged.

- VBUS=5VDC

- CELL_BATPRESZ configured to 45% of VDDA

- No host controlling.

Under this scenario, I was expecting Vsys to be regulated at 8.4VDC (2S), but instead I am getting 0.844VDC.

I checked the voltage at VDDA and it is not 6VDC, it is 4.39VDC. Still, the voltage at CELL_BATPRESZ pin is 1.98VDC (expected 45% of VDDA).

Could you provide any clue about what could be the issue?

Thank you very much in advanced.
