LM5113: WSON-10 active again?

Part Number: LM5113
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG1205

Hello,

the LM5113 in the WSON-10 footprint was NRND (SNVS725H), but is now listed as active again (SNVS725F older datasheet online)?

Will this footprint continue to exist or will there be directly footprint replacement?

Using WSON on thick copper (> 35µm) is much easier than using the DSBGA footprint.

  • Hello Patrick,

I reviewed the device orderable numbers and status and the WSON is listed as active, but the DSBGA is NRND. The datasheet revision was updated some time ago, April 2013, so this status has been in place for some time. The DPR0010A looks like a common package with a number of devices so the availability long term should not be an issue.

Confirm if this addresses your question, or you can post additional questions on this thread.

    Regards,

  • Hi Richard,

I was a little confused because in the data sheet SNVS725H (January 2018) this component was completely marked as NRND. So we switched to LMG1205 but had a lot of Problems to put a DSBGA Footprint on 70µm/2oz copper we needed.

Currently, the product page references again to the "old" SNVS725F (April 2013).
The no longer referenced data sheet SNVS725H was also more extensive. Are the workarounds described in the SNVS725H now integrated into a newer revision of the silicone (like the short pulse input filter or the external bootstrap)?

    Thanks

    Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the follow up question,

LMG1205 is an upgraded or rev'd version of LM5113, it fixes the workarounds found in 5113 with a silicon rev.

Please let me know if this answers your question or you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
