UCC21520: Recommended Components

Hello, 

I intend to use the UCC212520 dual channel gate driver in order to drive a half bridge IGBT module. 

Since for turn-off the IGBT requires a negative voltage I am thinking of referring to the circuit of figure 39 in the mentioned component datasheet. 

However there is no recommendations  for any of the components used in the schematic. 

Would it be possible for you to provide with some reference, suggestions and/or application reports for the specific configuration?

    Hi Kosta,

    CA1 and CA2 value is selected based on the Qg and switching frequency of the MOSFET. Zener Vz defines the negative bias. Rz current is for balancing CA1 and CA2 voltage, the value is typically in the range of 5-10 kohm.
