TPS3710: TPS3710

Part Number: TPS3710
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3890

Hi Sir,

The TPS3710 comparator has two inputs: one external input, and one input connected to the internal reference.

The comparator rising threshold is trimmed to be equal to the reference voltage (400 mV). The comparator also

has a built-in

Q: Can I adjust reference voltage to1.25V?

Thanks, Ian.

  • Ian,

You can't adjust the internal reference voltage. But since the internal 400 mV internal reference is less than 1.25 V, you can use a resistor divider to monitor any voltage that a 1.25 V reference can monitor. We also have other devices with internal reference voltage closer to 1.25 V such as TPS3890 that has 1.15 V reference. Please note that the lower the internal reference voltage, the lower the device can monitor. The highest voltage the device can monitor is based on the max VDD spec because you can use resistor dividers at the SENSE pin to monitor any voltage above the internal reference voltage.

Please let me know if this answers your question.
