  • Hi Fujiwara-san,

Is this for a new design at your customer?  The PTH devices are quite old.  For a 3A power module, we have the TPS82085 and TPSM82813.  These are lead free, smaller, and cheaper.

Which orderable part numbers (OPNs) are you asking about?  The PTH04070WAS uses a tin-lead finish on the leads.  It will not be lead free.

  • Hi Chris,

    Thank you for your answer.

It is necessary for device registering.

I  wanted to know about PTH04070WAS.

I understand PTH04070WAS is not applicable for RoHS.

How about "IEC62474 DB"? Will you plan to update the status from "N" to "Y"?

    Thanks

  • Hi Fujiwara-san,

When you click on 'IEC 62474' at the link in your first post, it gives this definition of IEC 62474:

IEC 62474 Database TI products that are compliant to RoHS requirements are also compliant to the substances and thresholds defined in the IEC 62474 Database (was previously the Joint Industry Guide).

Since the WAS device is not RoHS, it will not be IEC 62474.

Does your customer need a RoHS device?  If so, please use a different one or a different package version.

  • Hi Chris,

    I understand.

    Thank you so much!
