BQ24105-Q1: About Pre-charge NIMH

My customer wants to use BQ24105-Q1 at NiMH.

Precharging is also required for charging nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Is recognition correct ?

Also is it OK to set the precharge current to about 1/10 of the charge current ?

Hi Hayashi-san,

Precharge current is typically in the 10-20% of fast charge current.

Hi Hayashi-san,

It is my understanding that precharge is required for NiMH but I suggest you confirm with the battery manufacturer.

I do not understand "is recognition correct?"

I just wanted to know if NiMH needed a precharge.

I will ask the customer to check with the battery manufacturer.
