TPS2663: Recommended maximum resistor value connected between IMON and GND

Could you please tell me the recommended maximum resistor value which should be connected between IMON and GND?
Additionally, is VIMON clamped to 5V by the internal 5V zener diode if a 1MΩ resistor is connected between IMON and GND?

Hello Kato san

TPS2663 has internal zener clamping on IMON pin. With RIMON of 1M ohm IMON voltage will be clamped to 5V.

It is recommended to put RIMON value such that IMON voltage is within 4V. For 6A load current, recommended RIMON value is around 24k.

RIMON value can also be designed to scale with MCU ADC reference voltage and actual load current value.

I would like to confirm just in case, but is my understanding correct that the voltage at the IMON pin doesn't exceed the absolute maximum rating if a resistor is connected between IMON and GND unless a voltage is externally forcibly applied to IMON?

Yes, your understanding is correct. However please select RIMON value so that IMON pin voltage is within recommended operating condition of 4V.
