Very Low Iq below 500uA 42Vin 12Vout 1A peak, 65%eff at 1mA

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS57140-Q1, LMR34215-Q1, LM63615-Q1, LMR33610

Hi,

For a BA application I need a DCDC switching.

Vin_nom 24V (Vin_max>30V better if 42V), Vout 12V, better if FETs integrated but also external diode is ok. 1A peak should be guaranteed and in normal operation I need an efficiency of around 65% @1mA.

Iq must not exceed 500uA.

Other specs relevant for customer:

Power Good, Programmable Soft Start, programmable f_commutation (100kHz range), VT node for control network accessible for reaction time and performance to manage the frequency response.

Which p/n can I propose to customer?

Many Thanks,

Antonio

  • Hi Antonio,

By VT node accessible do you mean external compensation? The TPS57140-Q1 has all the features listed by customer, but may not hit efficiency requirement depending on input voltage and switching frequency.

If the customer is okay without some of the features removed, I would take a look at the LMR33610, LMR34215-Q1, and LM63615-Q1. These are all newer generation devices with light-load effeciency modes.

    Regards,
