Hi team,
My customer would like to know whether the StateOfCharge() will change to default value or not in the event of POR.
(StateOfCharge() will change to 0% or defaultn or maintain?)
Could you please give your advice?
Regards,
Yoshi

Hello Takahashi-san,
There's no such thing as a default SOC. When the gauge POR it's goes through an initialization process, which take about 2s. During this process the gauge simulates and recalculates SOC based on the present condition of the battery. It's recommended to wait about 5s before reading SOC after POR or exit from shutdown to ensure all gauging parameters are updated.
Hi Damian,
Thanks for your quick reply.
Before POR event, StateOfCharge value is stored to Flash. Is my understanding correct?

Yoshi
Hi Damian,
Could you give me you answer please? I need the answer ASAP.

Hi Yoshi,
That's incorrect. Why would the gauge store StateOfCharge in flash before POR. The gauge doesn't know how long it would be powered down and what happens to the battery in the powered down state. The gauge always on power up does an initialization to assess the present StateOfCharge. Until the initialization is complete any data in the StateOfCharge register is invalid and undetermined.
