Team,
In order to assess the stability of the design we are looking at simulating the Phase margin and Gain.
1)The TPS543B20 does not mention anything Phase margin and Gain requirement. Is it because the of the fact there is no external compensation network (due to the "Adaptive Internal Compensation" feature)?
2) TINA-TI simulation:
After Webench export to TINA-TI we are trying to simulate the Phase margin and Gain (see enclosed .TSC file).
Here is the Bode plot that gives phase and phase margin of the Vout(s)/Vin(s) transfer fonction.
Since phase is not changing to -180 deg and Gain is not going over 0dB it does not seem to be possible to determine Phase margin and Gain to prove that the system is stable.
Is it a normal behavior of the simulation? Does the model TPS543B20 spice behave correctly?
The picture show an example of a stable system that meet the stability criteria:
Thanks in advance,
A.
