UCD90160: Has this been used in a prior DO-254 or DO-178 compliant design and certified?

I'm interested in using the UCD90160 device in an airborne application.  For certification compliance all programmable devices must show development compliance to DO-254 for PLD development or DO-178 for software development.  Are you aware of any prior use of any UCD90XXX devices in airborne applications and how certification compliance was achieved?  As a reference there was a similar support question asked about the UCD9090 device.

     We do not have either DO178 or DO-254 certificated on UCD90xxx sequencers.

    UCD90xxx has been purchased by companies who have airborne application, but it is not clear whether they are one airborne application nor not. We can check and get back to you, but please allow us more time to get this kind of information.

    We do have couple UCD90xxx sequencer used on the airborne application. Here are information from one of our customers(UCD9090A)

    DO-178 focuses of system software. Since the UCD9090A functions as a state machine, it doesn’t require this standard on its own.

     

    DO-254 is another beast entirely which is a collection of documents that help support the device within the system certification. Since the Flight Control System has a high safety criticality level, there is a significant amount of evidence required to prove that the device is safe to use. This includes any historic usage in safety systems FIT rates, quality and reliability feedback from existing market., and customer’s own internal device testing and characterization.
