BQ25050: Overriding the TS fault indicated by /CHG pin

Part Number: BQ25050

Hi,

In our design there is no TS pin for the battery we are using, so we connected a 47 kohm resistor between TS pin of charger IC (BQ25050) and ground. The battery is charging with no issue since, but we observed that the /CHG pin is outputting pulses which indicates a TS fault as per the datasheet. As per our understanding, during a TS fault, the charger IC stops the charging. But we are able to observe that the battery is being charged. How is this happening?

Is there any workaround for this issue? How can we make sure that the charger IC charges without showing any TS fault since our design doesn't include a TS pin for the battery?

Best Regards,

Sai Ram
