BQ76PL455A: End of line testing - Load balancing

Part Number: BQ76PL455A

There is very little describing how the BQ76PL455 actually  performs cell balancing.

I need to ensure that the individual balancing circuits are correct from the BMC to the cell connection .

How would I test that a individual cell balancing circuit is working end to end

i.e How can I trigger get the BMC to turn on an individual EQn line.

I.e If I use a set of dacs and op amps to simulate the cell voltages without having any batteries actually attached and then  make the cell that I want the balancing to turn on 200mV higher then all the rest. With the rest being say within 20mV and then turn on cell balancing for that cell. Will I immediately see the EQ turn on ?

When the EQn lines are turned on during Load balancing Is this a PWM signal or a constant.

Is there a fault check that will turn it off if the voltage does not start to drop.

How long does the signal remain on for.
