Dear Sir

              i have a costumer that required the boost DC/DC converter for his application. The input and output details as follows:

Vin(min)=2.5V,

Vin(max)=5V,

Vout=5Volt

Iout=100mA(max)

I have selected TPS61070, TPS61071  two device for 5v switching regulator. is these the right device .Please suggest which part ll be more suitable  for this following application. also advice the the value of the inductor, capacitor and resistor required to regulate the device on 5Volt.

  • Since you are not looking for a linear regulator, I moved this post out of the linear regulator forum and into the non-isolated DC-DC forum where it belongs.

    There is a power quick search at power.ti.com where you can find options for your circuit.  The TPS61070 is a good choice.  Note that when Vin = Vout, there may be increased output voltage ripple as boost converters are not designed to work with Vin >= Vout.

    The datasheet for whichever part you select will explain how to pick the external components.  Please refer to that to design your circuit.

    Also, please order the EVM for the chosen IC to evaluate it before you go to production.
