Hi TI experts,
my customer want the BQ25895M can charge the battery without D+D-
IF I Write 0 to AUTO_DPDM_EN
Is that mean it’s ok not to connect D+D-,and let D+D- float?

Hi Jeff,
thank you for your help
To short D+=D-, is that means that the input source can only have VBUS without D+ and D-?
Hi Gary,
Correct. If D+=D- are shorted at the IC then they cannot be connected to external adapter. If a USB adapter is connected, the charger will pull input current up to the ILIM resistor clamp value. If that is too much for the adapter VINDPM prevents adapter crash.
Alternatively, you can let D+/D- float and IINDPM register will set to 500mA.
Regards,
Jeff
