Is central pin electrically connected to the mounting tab in all packages (DDPAK and TO-220)?

    Hi Hussien, 

    The central pin is almost always connected to the mounting tab and they both need to be connected to the ground plane. I don't see a reason this device should be otherwise. I opened the wire bonding diagram for the two packages, and they are connected.
