Hello,

I am trying to monitor the SafetyStatus register from my host controller, I am getting 0x40000 whenever I try to read this register.

When I read the value from Advanced COMM SMB of BQStudio, I get the expected value as follows:

When I read from my host controller:

I would suggest you use a digital analyzer to capture the SMBus communication and then compare the differences. If you follow the same sequence as the bqSutdio does, you should be able to get the correct results.
