Hi,

1. I use the TPS51200 for DDR3 of TMS320C6678 Is there a connection option SLP_S3 to TMS320C6678 ?

2. if I decide to EN TPS51200 regularly, can I connect the EN pin directly to the VIN?

Hi Shay,

1. Please refer to datasheet section 7.4.2. TPS51200 EN pin can be connected to SLP_S3 signal.

2. EN pin can be connected to VIN if it is not used for on/off control.

I use the one TPS51200 for 5 DDR3 devices how many C_IN and C_OUT capacitors are recommended?

Hi Shay,

It depends the load transient condition and requirement.

TINA and pspice model can be use to simulate the load transient result.

If you don't know load transient condition, add a few more Cin and Cout placeholder in your design and determine Cin and Cout based on real test result.

1. How many DDR3 device the can be support by one TPS51200?

2. How much current spend for one DDR3 (0.75VTT),(SAMSUNG_K4B2G1646F-BYMA,DDR3 2Gbx16 1.35V/1.5V)?

Hi Shay,

1. TPS51200 should be able to support 4 to 6 pcs of DDR3 devices, depending on the VTT current required by each DIMM device.

2. You can need to check with Samsung on the VTT current.
