TPS54302: Is TPS54302 suitable for DDR power supply?

Hi team,

My customer is considering use TPS54302 for DDR power supply.

Considering TPS54302 has Frequency Spread Spectrum and light load skip mode, is it suitable for DDR application?

Input: 5.4V/9V, output: 1.5V@1A

I am not sure whether it's suitable, or maybe it's better to use TPS54308? The problem is that customer has been using TPS54302 for other projects, it's not easy for them to import a new similar part to their library.

Hi,

Because of the Eco-mode, the output ripple would be a little large, you need to check whether it can meet your system's requirement. Because the input voltage is 5.4V/9V why not use TPS562201/8, TPS563201/8? It is DCAP control mode, and the max VIN is 17V, pin to pin with TPS54302.
