Hi TI,

Should external gate resistance be used between the controller (UCC28180) and the gate driver (UCC27511)?

What is the purpose used?

Hello Mason,

Thanks for your interest in our driver.

For this specific application, R117 resistor is optional and serves to limit current at the IN+ pin.
