BQ76930: Lost Communications between PIC and bq76930.

When reprogramming our processor (PIC 18F6722) sometimes we lose contact with the bq76930.  I think we are sending a command to the bq and interrupt it and therefore end up with half of a command stuck in there.    We have to fully disconnect the battery to get the part to sync up again.   We are not using the CRC part.   If we use the CRC part will this fix the problem?  My concern is not so much when we program,  but what if there is a hic cup with the processor because of an EMP or something.   We must have a way to reset and keep going.

    Hi John,

    If you think a whole command has not been sent, the standard I2C method to clear the bus is to have the host send up to 9 clocks until the slave releases the bus. Although, it would be best to resolve the I2C issue on the MCU to prevent partial commands.
