LM5023: LM5023 operating frequency

Part Number: LM5023
Is LM5023 able to operate at more than 100KHz under these conditions?
Input voltage : 100V
Output voltage : 20V
Output current : 3.25A
I know a bit of knowledge about designing the inductance value of the flyback transformer.
so I would like to know just whether or not LM5023 is able to work at that frequency.
  • Hello,

Thank you for your interest in LM5023.

The LM5023 has an internal timer clamp which limits the switching frequency to almost 130kHz. Please use the equation 19 of the datasheet to ensure that the choice of primary inductance and turns ratio of the transformer allows for your switching frequency spec.

The LM5023-EVM " https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snva686/snva686.pdf " has a similar design spec as yours and looking at figure 10, we can see that the controller is switching at 120kHz at 115Vac, 19Vout/3.43Iout. Please use this as a starting point for your design.

    Regards,

    Sonal
