TLV755P: Suggestion for 5V to 4.5V@50mA Low Noise , Low Iq LDO

Hi,

Please suggest us 5V to 4.5V Low Noise Low Iq LDO. Current requirement would be no more than 50mA.

    I think the LP5900 or LP5907 devices would be my top two recommendations given your requirements.

    Hello Kyle,

    Thank you for the response.

    I've checked the datasheet of both LPS5900 and LP5907 it stated that VIN= (VOUT(NOM)+ 1 V) (7LP5907-Q1 Page-7).

    So In order to generate 4.5V output we need 5.5V input, Is my understanding correct?

    If above question's answer is yes than we have only 5V available on the board.

    Hi Punit,

    It is pretty standard to measure the various specs with 1V of head room (Vin to Vout) but it is not required to have that much headroom for proper operation. The dropout for LP5907 has a max value of 250mV at the full load of 250mA so as long as you have 250mV between Vin and Vout the LDO will be regulating. So in your case going from 5V to 4.5V will mean you will always be regulating.
